< VA S-37 > Fairfax County (1)

There will be a special election for State Senate District 37, which includes major portions of Fairfax County, on Tuesday, January 12. See the ELECTIONS page at RIDE2REPEAL.COM for the latest updates on this race, as well as others in helmet law states around the country.

Here's a recent article about this special election:
Hunt wins nomination for 37th Senatorial District
Washington Examiner - December 2, 2009
Steve Hunt is now the GOP nominee for the 37th District State Senate seat. Hunt, formerly a member of the Fairfax County School Board ...
Steve Hunt will have to work hard because he's running against Delegate David Marsden, who has consistently voted against repeal. But the Delegate barely won reelection last November, taking the race by only 208 votes.

This is going to be a very tight race.

Both parties will target the party faithful, which is the standard approach for special elections. Whichever side does a better job of getting out the vote will win. It all boils down to who's got the best campaign volunteer work force. They're ultimately the ones who will deliver the votes ... and the victory.

If bikers contribute their time and effort, they will do more than help Steve Hunt win this race. They will also earn a reputation as a political force that matters. That's something that's sorely missing right now in state legislatures around the country.

We can change that. Click here to volunteer.
